Each wrap is hand cut and hand dipped in a mixture of local Australian beeswax, tree resin and jojoba oil. These ingredients all have natural anti bacterial properties.
Beeswax wraps are a fantastic alternative to cling wrap and plastic sandwich bags. Using the warmth of your hands, you can mould the beeswax wrap to your liking. The warmth of your hands gently melts the wax enough to make it malleable and stick together. The beeswax wraps allow the food to breathe, stay alive and keep fresh. Beeswax wraps can be used directly on food and to cover food containers. A great addition to the everyday/ eco/ sustainable/ journey to zero waste kitchen. To clean, simply wash by hand with cold water and allow to air dry before storing. Not to be used with raw meats, fish, hot foods, or any heat producing appliances (i.e. microwaves, dishwashers etc).
The wraps last approximately 12 months or 100 uses if cared for properly. Once they have reached the end of their life, they can be re-waxed or composted.
