I’m Mim and I live on the South Coast of NSW, cocooned between the ocean and the bush. I am Mum to a lovely son and two precious daughters, and when I’m not creating or mothering I am busy pottering around in my pretty garden or playing the piano.
Dandelion Threads began in 2013 when my son started Kindergarten and I needed to keep busy! I found myself some old curtains and began sewing things - bags, skirts, pencil cases. It wasn’t long before I was addicted to sewing and the thrill of finding unique fabrics from op-shops. I love to create things for my own children to encourage imagination and free-play, and to keep little hands busy.
I sell beautiful handmade products using new, up-cycled, reclaimed and vintage fabrics: butterfly wings, pencil cases and activity wallets, and whatever else inspires me in the spur of the moment.
